Mother Teresa – “One God … to all”
What do you do when you find a most incredible quote from your favourite saint icon, Mother Teresa, which is the whole basis of your latest book? '1God.world: One God for All' was published nine months ago?
Last night I stumbled across this quote on the internet, seeming to be from a 1995 publication of Teresa’s, the latest edition of the referenced text ‘A Simple Path’ is from 2007.
Teresa’s quote is followed by quotes from my book in brackets:
There is only one God and He is God to all [1God.world: One God for All - book’s title]
therefore it is important that everyone is seen as equal before God. [“God loves us all equally.” - Introduction.]
I've always said we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu, a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Catholic become a better Catholic. [“This is the same God for Christians, Muslims, Jews and Hindus. And in fact for all humanity.” – Introduction.]Initially, it blew me away, and my eyes filled with ‘Tears from God’.
This was a very special God moment. A moment where God revealed the truth once again – there is only 1 God of the world. 1 God for all people. 1 God of all genuine religions.
